Using SAS Visual Analytics tool, we analysed a dataset of crime records in the UK context together with related socio-economic variables, such as law enforcement allocation, weather records, and social indices (income score, employment index, education score, etc.). While predictive analysis of crime is usually studied through criminal profiles based on their social backgrounds, this project focuses on the causal relationships of crime-spot areas to enable timely and informed policing intervention.
